"I have had a daily headache for the past ten years with episodic migraines on top of that. In the beginning all days were agony, and then after a couple of years I found some preventatives that give me very moderate relief, but most days of these past years have been terrible to bad...never a good day...never pain free. On June 6th I had my first shot of Aimovig. During the first month I had very mild response. I have now had 4 doses and I continue to see improvement. My daily headaches are 50% better. I have not had a full blown migraine in the last two months. It is as if my whole metabolism is a little slowed down. I had to pay for the first dose out of pocket because my insurance refused to pay. They paid for the last three doses, but my doctor's office called that they rejected the new prior authorization!!! I will fight and fight to get them to pay for this drug. It has changed my life!"
