...and there's plenty of people who can handle guinea pigging; I don't think this meme is about those people.

By far the best, cleanest, longest, most intense yet totally controllable and comfortable trip I've ever had was on synthetic mescaline. If I gave one of those tabs to somebody and said it was LSD they would come back and tell me it was the best, cleanest L they ever had.

Conversely, 95% of the acid trips I've had have been tweaky and metallic. I'll still do it just to keep me up and partying, but I always have to mix it with alcohol and endless joints to mellow it out.

Source: I grew up on tour with the grateful dead family, my parents sold acid at dead shows, my uncle used to live at the sunshine factory in the 60's. Not just some of the old heads, ALL of the old heads will tell you the same thing: 99% of acid today is not the same thing as the LSD-25 of the 60's. Cooking acid is an art form that only a handful of people can do right. If anybody in our generation had the opportunity to experience real vintage Sunshine, we would all realize how much mellower, nicer, softer, and easier to navigate it is than what we're all used to. (According to elders who reeally know what they're talking about.) Acid isn't supposed to make you get all sick and tweaky and vomit like the guy in this meme. I've heard countless old heads complaining about how acid used to mellow people out and relax them, and that if it made you tweaky that meant it was dirty/bad, but now it all seems to be mostly tweaky and people are always freaking out on it like angel dust.

And I believe them, because they know more than I ever will.
