[Anonymous Poll] RMT (The maphack one was interesting)

wow

Okay, why not... let's go ahead and dismantle your ridiculous post. I know the reply will be totally lost on you, you will learn nothing and not come even remotely close to changing your mind... but whatever.

I love how some you take a moral stance on RMT and map hacking like it's somehow wrong and harmful.

Moral stance, as in right from wrong. As both of these are against the TOS that you agree to when you download this totally free game, they are wrong on that count. Nobody is forcing you to play the game. Nobody is even charging you to play the game. The only thing you are asked to do is follow a few simple rules and you are here to make a case for breaking those rules in this game that you didn't have to pay for and that nobody is forcing you to play.

Harmful? In that botters are attracted to these games, drive up the available currency and so the "cost" of items, thus punishing those who follow the rules - yeah, it's harmful too.

The only thing wrong is this business model that it rewards complete abandonment of responsibilities and forces you to grind and waste time doing tedious shit.

Whether you call it grinding or tedious shit or what, it's the entirety of the game. Either you kill mobs and pick up the shit they drop or, you kill mobs, and pick up the shit they drop. There's nothing else to the game. It's a loot game, by design. Kill mobs, get loot. If you think that is tedious shit then I've got news, a bigger hammer isn't going to change that. If it's tedious to you, then stop playing this free to play game that nobody is forcing you to play. If, on the other hand, killing mobs and picking up loot is fun for you, it's going to be fun regardless of the size of your hammer.

Hell if the game was more rewarding I would pay to buy it rather than Playerauctions.

Rewarding how? You get all the super rare shit without too much effort? I got news for you. Despite your saying that, it isn't true. This is simple psychology and everyone in gaming knows there are different kinds of games for different kinds of gamers. Some games make all items available eventually and others make you work for it and others will make some items so rare that the vast majority will never get there.

This particular game is based on gambling, to appeal to those who like the gamblers rush. If you want to just 'buy' the jackpot then you are missing the whole fucking point.

That being said, there is seriously something wrong with the game when 25% of your players rmt.

I guarantee you that nowhere near 25% are RMTing. There's enough to be fucking up the market but it isn't anywhere near that amount of the total player-base.

Fix the ridiculous grind and make an honest pay to play leagues rather than the dishonest pay to win stash tabs bullshit.

So, your grammar goes all fucked up here again... are you honestly advocating for golden ammo and in the same sentence somehow saying that stash tabs provide an unfair advantage? Feel free to clarify, I'm sure we can chew that up too.

The only lesson here is; Time = Money

Through the transaction of your money for someone else's time, you mean. That's the case you've been making after all. Rather than spend your time looking for a drop or earning the currency to buy some gear you'd rather have someone else spend that time to get that stuff and then you'll just spend some money to reimburse them for their time and then... I dunno, I always get lost here... there's nothing else to do in the game except the "tedious shit" that you just paid to not have to do so I'm honestly not sure what you do after you've bought your Mjolnir. Maybe you can come back and clarify that too.

For the rest of us, I'm glad to report that Time = Fun and Money only comes into it if we choose it because, as we made clear above, the game is free. Though you clearly don't agree I'm nearly certain that we are getting the better equation there. All Fun, no Money, no tedious shit... if you are the one who is ultimately right somehow, well, I'm sure glad I'm wrong.
