Hi George, as a mod of r/hue I want to welcome you to our community and thank you for taking the time to do this. I hope we will get to see more of you around here!
I just want to put in a feature request for addressable LEDs in a next generation hue light strip. Especially with things like hue sync taking off I think it would a very nice addition to the hue family with all the amazing effects it can bring.
I think it would also be neat if hue had a place for people to share their addressable led formulas and even exposing an API to developers so they can go wild with all the complex possibilities these bring (like they do now with the current API)!
It would be cool to see something like this double for addressable(!) Christmas lights, either outdoor or for an indoor tree.
