Classical music fans, what's impressive about somebody playing the same music for hundreds of years over somebody shredding new music?

As I mentioned before, Mozart, Sibelius in their writing would completely disagree with you. Mozart admired the performers that performed his music and respected their artistry as musicians. Ludwig Fischer Sibelius wanted to be a violinist and considered himself a failure as a violinist. Composers wrote caprices and etudes to help elevate the skill in the artistry of playing the instrument.

There is a lot of artistry and just making a simple sound come out of your instrument. I can listen to Pavarotti sing a single note. He doesn't have to sing Caro Mio Ben. Sing an arpeggio Pavarotti it's going to be mind-bogglingly beautiful. The artistry is there in themselves making sound and every little thing they are doing to get that sound correct

I'm not trying to convince you man. Shit dude I'm sad that you can't see the artistry in performing. It's like you're def to a whole another side of music.
