Any PharmD’s who pursued a fellowship in clinical pharmacology?

Sorry for late reply.

1) super variable. But usually involved coding in R or NONMEM.

2) I would say no. It’s really skill based outside of academia. If you have the same skills as a PhD or PharmD/PhD you will have the same job as them. I think the main diff if the people with PhDs are more likely to gravitate to pharmacometrics team while pharmDs to clin pharm team

3)I think it’s pretty similar to other functional areas. In Bay Area I’ve heard 12-140k base, 140-160k total for entry level. But goes up a lot at Director level. Also lots of stock options at young companies when ur high level.

4) demand is crazy high. There is def a shortage of talent right now. Specifically for clinical pharmacology there are a ton of jobs, you will have no problem finding work if you come from a good fellowship and have the basic skills down.

5) I think this varies company by company. One place I interview with allows u to work from home 100% another allows 40% WFH after covid ends.

Other stuff: I would say the most important thing is to learn as many technical skills in your fellowship as you can. Don’t slack!
