Bad Economics Book: Research Assistance

What is more sad, people complaining about an issue as old and as common as the assembly line, or that the entire history of misguided complaints can be summed up with 5 words?

Really though, People don't seem to understand the machines are only good at narrow, repetitive tasks. Even the shiny new AIs are only good at the specific task they've been trained for. For that reason the jobs that are removed are often the most boring, dull, soul draining things that people only do because they have to.

Someday, the people claiming that "machines will take all jobs" will be right as we will create machines that are in all ways superior to humans. But that is still a long ways off.
