1) AA's policy is that items booked by a travel agent or third party have to get fixed by that travel agent or third party. AA is not going to help you make an edit to anything that was booked by someone that wasn't them. Full stop.

However, even if OP did book through AA their policy isn't they are "supposed to do something" for free.

What is a minor name correction? A typo, essentially. Geoff becomes Jeff. Alic becomes Alice. Adding a new name isn't a minor correction.

With all of that said... AA's policy is that just the first and last needs to match your documents. Specifically saying that middle names are not necessary.
