Can 2 or more members of my family use gmrs at same time?

GMRS license covers “immediate family” as mentioned here

I guess “immediate family” is somewhat flexible but I usually interpret it as family members in the same household as a single license (ergo single call-sign) is tied to a single street address.

I add Greek letters to the end of my call-sign to uniquely identify users from the same family (same call-sign), ie: [call-sign]-alpha, [call-sign]-beta, etc

The license is currently $35 for 10 years and there’s no test required. You just pay. The cost is so low there’s really no reason to cheat, ie: using one license/call-sign for people not in your immediate family or not getting a license at all.

The FCC process and website to get a license is admittedly very confusing and slow. And I experienced so much bad server lag that I had to make the attempt twice and accidentally applied for a license twice (for which I just ignored one of them and didn’t pay it so it was automatically cancelled). But if you search up “how to get a GMRS license” on the web, you’ll find very helpful guides like this one But just stick to it. It’s only once every 10 years.
