Which basically vindicates what Mitch said in 2016, despite the Democrats' protests that Obama should be able to fill a vacant seat in an election year. So now in 2020 the roles are flipped and we're going to hear everyone contradict their positions from 4 years ago. The real truth that everyone acknowledges (outwardly or inwardly) here is that you can fill the seat whenever you want as long as you have Senate support. End of story. Everything else is just political theater. I wish things were more civil, but that ship sailed back in the 90's.
