I've not been enjoying myself uch. My husband has never been much into any celebrations but he humors me and my obsession with Christmas. But today as I was setting the table I felt so sad that he won't even help with that. Feels like shoveling sand into the sea.

However I was showering and thought to myself that, if he won't be excited about this, that doesn't mean that I have to dampen my own spirits. So I'm sitting with my headphones listening to music, watching the Christmas episode of Let's Make a Deal, and painting my nails in a holiday color scheme. I won't let anyone's lack of enthusiasm bring me down anymore.
