Dylan O'Brien and his Career pt. 2

Ups, I didn't refresh before erasing. Therefore, I missed your comment. If it helps somehow I'll post it again, though. I deleted it because I tend not to start discussions, but I couldn't hold my tongue on the subject and then I was like... did I just started WWIII? omg

So, this was the original: "I'm just gonna say this and you all can bash me if you want. I'm not even going to defend myself aftwerwards. I'm on the side of those who think nothing worse appeared in relation to Dylan's injuries. His publicist's statement just reads like Fox's spectations to resume filming were unrealistic and that's that. Also, I'm pretty sure Dylan must be blaming himself, whether he's got reasons or not, for the movie being delayed and the cast and crew's schedules being affected. I wouldn't in a million years believe he would press charges or sth for this (it would have been different if he'd died or been permanently damaged and the decision fell on his family). Finally, I'm also on the side of those who say Dashner knows Dylan personally and probably has much better information than us. And I don't believe his joke lacked taste or was out of time or whatever because he has a legion of fangirls who are rightly worried and propably leave copious amounts of comments and questions for him on the subject and he was just trying to appease them. And, for me it was actually a bonus that he went for self-deprecating humor. And, this is the part where some will want my head on a spike but... honestly, people who get so righteously mad about every single thing said about Dylan that they don't like are just making HIS life and relationship with his co-workers more difficult. If people with whom he relates directly fear saying anything about him because a bunch of fangirls (of any and all ages) will jump their throat then we'll also start missing on a lot of interesting intel on Dylan. Think about what happened with TW. It was good for some time, having Dylan on the spotlight, but then MTV felt they had to cast him into shadows PARTLY because his fanbase was all-encompassing to the point where some became rude and would totally dismiss the rest of the cast during panels and Q&A. All I'm saying is hold your horses. No one asked us to protect Dylan, much less from others who actually KNOW him. He can do it himself, he's a grown man. And being overly sensitive about every piece of information could put him in an akward situation with his co-workers and friends. Even if you haven't being among the ones who critized Dashner directly on twitter, just... don't validate it or encourage it. After all, we don't know who might be reading our comments and how we're affecting them and their actions."
