I once had a scary thing happen to me in a busy store, as a customer though. There was a man with his wife, and they stood between two ailes looking at some items and their cart was placed in a way where there was not enough space to pass. I was coming up to them and I already noticed him staring at me before anything happened, like he was looking for someone to hate, but I thought that's just me overthinking like usually, so when I came up I said could you move it, he didn't want to and I went anyway, gently squeezing by. When I did so, he said I was a bitch. I was not finished with my groceries but I quickly went away silently to a self checkout, I wanted to get out asap and thought I will avoid him.. I was wrong. Right when it was my turn, they were at the cashier and he stared at me, seething. I could hear him call me a bitch, whore and much worse, not shouting but loud enough so people and I would hear. He was so focused on me, his eyes glued on me, he stood still while his wife loaded their cart in silence. She looked afraid to me. And when I went by he said that he will put me on a spike next time he sees me. This upset me so much I ran to the exit (no one did anything or said anything to him) and by the exit I saw a security guard and in a hurry I told him a man has just threatened me, he asked me to describe him so I did, but my voice box was so shaky the words were mangled as they came out.. I never got to find out what happened to him or what the guard did because I soon as I told him I ran to my car and went home. I didn't want him to see my car and remember it or my registration number. I dreaded going back for years because of this.
