Is everyone an asshole on versus?

I think you're reading a bit too much into the emotions I was expressing when replying. What I meant is that this game is hard, does not forgive mistakes and takes time and lots of loses to improve and get better - so anyone who does not have enough patience and is not open to see his own mistakes will simply not have fun from playing SC2.

Your attitude and words you've used also add to this community's toxicity, since if you tell people they are "fucking terrible" don't expect them to help you. Ignore the assholes and look for people actually willing to help. Downvoting the only reply to your question is probably also not the most positive approach ;)

That being said, it's hard to understand what exactly is your problem - are you playing team games? Where have you met the toxicity? Was it in game chat, Twitch, Reddit? If you're looking for a way to improve there's a lot to go for first: dedicated subreddits ( r/allthingsprotos, r/allthingszerg and r/AllThingsTerran), a lot of Youtube materials (look up ViBe, Lowko, PiG for a lot of cool tutorials), build orders, etc. You can also post replays for people to review.

Let us know what exactly are you struggling with, and there are certainly people willing to help here. There are assholes in every community, including SC2, doesn't mean we are all douchebags.
