I’m a gal from western MT and moved to Minot for oil work. If I were to return I’d prob try to aim around Dickinson next time; I worked all over the Bakken. I definitely dealt w some sexist bullshit and encountered people that have different political ideologies than myself, however I always felt North Dakotans were more peaceful than other states as a whole; and enjoyed a slower pace of life. On average North Dakotans treat others who they may not agree w, with a lot more respect than any of the other 11 states I’ve lived in, and I always felt like a handful of the guys were open minded enough to give me a chance. I felt very content when I lived there and plan to return as a pipe fitter journeyman someday. Really over looked but lovely state in many ways. So this doesn’t surprise me one bit that no one from here was a part of this ridiculous sharade. Nice job North Dakotans!
