Except "skipping" is not all that they are being questioned for doing. Lying and hiding results, as well as cutting corners, is also on that list. As I've explained, they clearly lied about the vaccine stopping transmission. Remember they also lied about it preventing symptoms, preventing sickness, and preventing hospitalization. You can say "the science changed" if you want, but even that is just another way to admit what they told us was wrong.

Besides, I would argue that not doing the full five-to-ten years of trial very much *is* skipping parts of the process. Without the full five-ot-ten years of trial studies, there's literally no way of telling what long-term effects the vaccines can possibly have.
