Hell, a CVS sold me a bullshit credit card that wouldn't register online, wouldn't take it back, and I got arrested with a felony for trying to retake my hard-earned American money

Yeah, this does not happen like that. As a minority I have used these cards dozens of times, without any hiccups ... and the process is mad easy.

Either, it was the cashier themselves who robbed you, and you were stupid enough not to notice... or you are leaving out a lot of this story, so that it doesn't put you in a bad light.

Unless you are an idiot or criminal, this does not happen. On top of that they hand you a receipt, and the transactions are based electronically by bank and CC company. There would have been a trail had the transaction went through. If it didn't, that means the cashier took your money, and you didn't pay attention while the transaction was happening.

All you would have needed, was to show a receipt, along with the card ... and even if that didn't go through, they wouldn't have arrested you, for having a card with no balance.

My guess, you were irresponsible with the transaction and/or and your reaction got you arrested. I also base this guess on the intelligence of a person , who would draw the line to America, for blame in this situation. (how many logical hoops did you jump through for that one?)
