Have I “graduated” from the RP or is it me?

Sold my RP in less than a year. While affordable and not a "bad" option, it definitely has drawbacks that would basically make a similarly priced aps-c a better option.

Older sensor/processor. Poor noise performance. Awful burst. ANd the worst part was like you mention the issues with DPAF despite... How good it should have been or whatever. It was almost like the processor couldn't keep up with the DPAF though that hardly makes sense. I dunno. That processor was only used for aps-c cameras before so... I think there was basically a software issue there. And I never heard of a firmware release to fix it or whatever.

It's not a camera I can recommend for anyone really. Even the R is not 'great', for the price. The R7 is rad. The R6 is rad. But for that RP price or R price I'd be looking at sony zv-e10 or a7c. R10 and R7 are good upgrade options from the zv-e10. And a7c is the best budget full frame imo. Z5 looks ok too. But I wouldn't start with Canon FF until R6, personally.
