Is the hate towards Terra getting a bit too much on social media? They didnt like her initially because she replaced flora a hispanic/latina character, but what seems to push the fans over the edge is the fact that she is plus size and...

The way you've written this makes me really sad. Normally I wouldn't bother commenting on this kind of stuff (for example, the comment beneath this one is just not worth engaging with) but I would beg you to have some self-reflection about why you feel this way. I'm autistic, and I can't imagine my friends 'stopping' me halfway through an info dump about something I find really exciting, or while I'm giving my opinion even if they don't agree with it. Someone talking about things they love is not being 'super annoying' or 'unlikeable', nor is someone who finds social cues difficult. And it's honestly not your job to change your personality to be 'likeable' (and that applies to NT people as well). Also, what you're describing sounds a lot like masking which some autistic people are genuinely not capable of doing. That doesn't mean they get a 'free pass', it means acknowledging that societal standards of being annoying/likeability etc. are mostly bullshit, and respecting them as a literal person and having some grace when talking with them.

Sidenote, I agree that they have done a bad job with Terra's character - I think she should have just been a genuine replacement for Flora, they should dress her well instead of hiding her body, and get rid of the insecurity/jealousy that seems to be the default for bigger women in tv shows/movies. That's not what I'm taking issue with in this comment, I just think it seems like you've internalized a lot of societal messaging that you need to 'pretend to be normal' to be liked and fit in. And, if you're in a position to do so, then I think it would be worth reconsidering the standards you are holding yourself and other autistic people to :)
