Letters phone calls stay married

Attorney here from neighboring state. Every state has Rules of Professional Conduct that must be followed for attys to maintain a law license with a state bar. The Rules are pretty uniform, based on the ABA model.

To answer your question- no one would likely uncover if the attys were passing communications. Attorney-Client communications are privileged, jail cannot eavesdrop. Technically, the attys COULD do it but risk their license and could prob be dis-barred. I doubt these attys would risk years of education & license/ livelihood for these fools.

The attys likely talk to each other and may pass along info in GENERAL terms about how the other side is strategizing. Eg, “my understanding is that Chad is feeling like xyz.” Code/double-speak. No one would be able to call them out subtle communication.
