It's the difference between playing a game and needing to solve for the environment to play a game.
I bought the Steam Link and what I was expecting was a product that behaved as an additional display or output. What I received was a screen mirroring device. You can do screen mirroring with a Chromecast.
I guess laptops are....fine? Setting up a laptop with dongles for controllers on a small screen. Why not just get a Nintendo Switch?
I feel like you are defending the developmental decision of developing for PC. Why did you target PC for local multiplayer lol. I suggested earlier that it might have been for cost. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo probably have guidelines for building games for their environment and licensing.
