This is a long post. Thanks to everyone who reads and I hope you get something out of me sharing my story here.

I’m so glad you were able to get out as well! I quit back in 2019 due to the owner lying to me about a raise, doing ASM duties for $9/hr and having my GM harass me on my 1 day off of the week to come in and hanging up on me when I would say no. They wrote me up one day and I walked out the next. I’m still salty about what happened lmao

They promised me an ASM position, and when they saw I was willing to work my ass off for the position, they took advantage of my eagerness and never followed through with the promise. It seems like Jimmy Johns promotes this kind of culture.

I’m glad you were able to heal and get a better job with your work ethic. I’ve learned a lot in my time at JJ’s, one of them was establishing boundaries with my work and life. I can only hope everyone at JJ’s, including the GM’s at my old store, can get something better, that won’t stress them out and have them worrying about work on their off days.
