What's your pet's name?

We got 2 cats.

Our first cat is named Lucy. However, when we first got him, we were told that he was a female and we believed it. Poor Lucy, he was ridiculously fluffy and had retained testicles, so even the vets didn't pick up on the fact that he was actually male. It was only when we took him in to be spayed. I was lying in bed when I got a call from the vet informing us that Lucy's spay operation had failed because "Lucy was in fact a Luca!"

Cue a bit of shock on our part, and poor Lucy had to have a stomach operation to locate his testicles and he was eventually succesfully neutered. My boyfriend went to the vet and he was officially renamed "Lucifer" to reflect his boy status! I would've preferred Lucius, but either way we still call him Lucy.

Our second cat was a bit more obvious, she was a tortoiseshell kitten so we called her Cornelia. She actually is female and we call her "Corny" for short. So now we have 2 cats with Roman names, Lucifer and Cornelia. Pretty classy, I guess - I still would've preferred Lucius! But still I'm happy with their names. They're both amazing kitties.
