They can’t keep improving their stage designs at this tempo. Next year is another anniversary edition too. Other stages are getting a new design and last year they also introduced a few new stages. So the main stage is probably going to be the only big thing to change for 2019.

I really hope they use this awesome theme to design an impressive main stage though. But I’m also a bit scared of the impact of two weekends on a stage in this theme. We’re expecting lots of water effects. Exactly the kind of effect that can be a bit tricky. Almost every power outage I witnessed at Tomorrowland was caused by issues with water effects. It was a big problem in 2009 and also in 2014 on Sunday a few times. So that’s not really a matter of budget but it might affect the stage design more than we think.
