Manifest v3, Google, and ad-block death - what to do?

https://vivaldi.com/blog/ad-blocker-vivaldi-browser/

Unfortunately, that blog post announces that they are removing Manifest v2 support and moving on with their adblocker.

Which is decidedly worse than uBlock Origin unfortunately, hopefully Vivaldi will continue to improve their technology; I could see a native solution being a whole lot better than an extension, but alas.

As a former Vivaldi user I had to switch to Firefox, I just hate ads too much and I'm customization fanatic. I appreciate that Vivaldi lets you customize pretty much everything involving the UI (just like Firefox), but I can't justify spending time on Vivaldi's UI if I'm just going to have to switch in a year.
