We choose our experiences, and it’s very common that we choose to experience both sides of a situation to get the full experience and understanding from it. That’s why it seems like karma and punishment, but punishment doesn’t exist. You’re higher self wanted that “karma” and brought it back to yourself. It’s not punishment. Like for example in one life If I’m a thief, I might reincarnation myself in the next life to experience my things getting stolen. It’s not because I’m being punished from previous actions, it’s because my soul wants to see both sides of the story.
