Michigan’s Moussa Diabate will remain in the NBA Draft, he told Stadium

Congrats to Moussa, but this is the other side of the coin when you can recruit top 4-5* players, and is sort of why the one-and-done recruiting route often doesn't pan out. He's good enough to be drafted on potential and maybe put in the g-league to mature, but not good enough to be really good his first year in college. This is why I think they should craft some draft system more like college-hockey or baseball--where drafted players can be spoken for by a team but not put on the pro roster until later, so they spend time in college improving. I'm not sure who 'they' is that could do this---maybe it would require the NBA to initiate it or the NBA players union to support it. But both hockey and baseball have a well-developed minor league system, so the existence of the g-league shouldn't in principle prevent this.
