My Taurus friend has broken up/got back together with his ex three times in the last year. The last time not long ago he asks me (a Pisces) to tell him if he's just going in circles breaking up/patching up. When he gets back with his ex, he posts the most lovey dovey stuff about them on social media. "Love of my life" kinda stuff. Only to break up again. The thing is this Taurus friend won't meet me in person to have a real conversation. He just contacts me on social media to vent. So, keeps me at a distance. Which is weird to me. He's like, "Stay far from me, but still in the picture when I want you." I've learned not to invest a lot in this one-way "friendship." He hooked up with his current SO too fast IMO. Like 3 weeks after meeting and doing a ton of partying and fun stuff in those 3 weeks.
