Opinion: Trading jokes about COVID are really inappropriate

This.

I had a family member who passed away from Covid-19 earlier this year and let me tell you, it wasn't funny. No one was laughing. I had to listen to my mum sobbing in my living room while I had to pretend that I didn't notice and that everything was okay and everything was normal. It wasn't.

Although my story's kinda personal, it still shows that Covid isn't a thing to joke about. You'll be making jokes about it until you get it. Or a family member gets it. Or a friend gets it. Or just someone close to you in general catches it. Jokes about Covid-19, to say the least, are really fucking insensitive. I honestly don't see what makes people think joking about a deadly disease that had the whole world in lockdown for over a year now was a good topic for Trading Meme Monday, but each to their own ig.
