Opposition Organization

There are certainly people abroad that oppose the regime. There’s obviously Reza Pahvali and his NCI, theres the MEK, and other activists abroad.

The problem is 1 they have to operate abroad in order to avoid being murdered, it’s not like Pahvali can’t just walk into Iran. and 2. They certainly aren’t universally liked (especially the MEK). So while they could possibly help, I doubt they would be seen as people who Iranians would want to lead.

The problem is any centralized leadership that pops up inside iran is at great risk of being murdered or captured. There are people in prison who if broken out could probably lead, but that’s obviously easier said than done. The protesters need to start getting security forces and other people with guns to defect so that any centralized leadership can be protected. But again, that’s easier said than done.
