For the first time since I created a reddit account, I have been accused of spamming (/r/Futurology). Until today's attempted post on that subreddit (to which I have never posted before), I have, over the course of more than one year, submitted posts to numerous subreddits from numerous websites and have commented or voted on others' posts. A few months ago, I decided to start a subreddit on portable items (because they interest me and because in society there is a clear trend towards use of such items) - /r/TakeItWithYou - and began posting to that subreddit in order to give it a foundation that others could browse and encourage others to begin posting themselves. I have posted a variety of articles to that subreddit but yes, clearly, many to my subreddit have been from portabout.com, kickstarter.com, and designboom.com, because these sites have a large number of interesting or unique portable items. However, I have no affiliation with any of these sites. As I informed elfa82, the Futurology moderator I dealt with today, it is hard to find websites that are dedicated to portable things, so I have to pull from the same sites over and over. I had no idea that my own posting to my own subreddit would lead to my being reported, by a completely different subreddit, as a spammer. I am not a spammer. I repeat that I am not affiliated with any of the sites below. Please remove my account from /r/spam. Moreover, the moderator elfa82 informed me that portabout.com has wound up on some spam site list on reddit. That's ridiculous. If my actions of posting articles I found on some website to a subreddit I run have caused that website, whatever it is, to end up blacklisted as a spam site, that's pretty lame for a number of reasons and frankly, I'd feel bad for whoever runs that site. Please let me know who I can message to fix that issue, if it's true.
