Parent teaching their 6yo kid how to use a bulletproof backpack in a school shooting

This comment absolutely reeks of privilege. The overwhelming majority of people cannot afford private school. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to work to send my kid to private school. Not to mention I wouldn't send my kid to private school even if I had the money. In a lot of states, teachers don't even have to be properly credentialed to work in private schools. Fuck that. Plus, most of them in my area are religiously affiliated. Fuck that. My parents had the money to send me to private school and didn't and I'm so fucking glad they didn't. All the people I know that went to private school struggled when it came time to take standardized tests compared to public school kids. You couldn't pay me enough to send my kid to private school.
