Weekly Random Discussion Thread for 8/15/22 - 8/21/22

This kind of surprised me because I'm not terribly familiar with him but he was once on a Sirus XM show I was listening to basically calling for the firing of some academic who had committed wrong think and was being called out for "violent speech" by students.

It was at least a few years ago (hence me not being able to remember who it was or even what the offensive statement was), so maybe his mind has changed? But I do remember even then thinking he was being over the top about it. Whatever was said, I didn't feel like it was something that should cost someone their job and livelihood.

He was also on air with Michelangelo Signorile who is VERY pro-cancel culture and frankly seems to take joy in policing speech and ganging up on people, so maybe there was some peer-pressure involved in it too.
