I can't help but mention that Schwarzesmarken becomes a completely insane unintentional comedy if you are a german viewer. The german-ness of the names is jacked up to eleven, and the characters address each other overly formally in the german dub (while realistic, it feels totally unusual for german anime dubs and makes things sound extra standoffish and distant.)

It is also the only MuvLuv thing that got a german release.

If you would show this thing to the average german, they would probably react with utter confusion and several other feelings that probably can only described with very specific words which only exist in the german language.
