I thought about it. If anything, I'll bag the tops of the pots to keep water out, but I'm not there yet- we're not getting drenched like that right now, it's just a constant cycle of storms and 90F days. Pretty happy with the plant's size and performance so far.

And yeah, Cali can vary depending on where you are at, but as soon as you go inland a few miles from the coast (at least in the northern half of the state), you're into arid mountains or high desert. Very few growers would choose a grow right on the coast over something at least 5-10 miles out of town into the hills- preferably a bit further- for outdoor anyway. Most of my time was spent out near Willow Creek fwiw. So it's kind of easy just to make a blanket statement like I did, lol.
