There was this guy in my society. He earned good 1-1.5 lakhs/ month. He was a genuinely intellegent professor. But he was a slave of his wife. Literal slave. He did job, tution, and house works only asked love in return. He also had servants for every tiny thing. She was being treated like a queen(not exaggerating). They had rocky marriage and as soon as the love started dimming. He attempted suicide. Twice.
