Michigan Supreme Court asked to OK ballot question on abortion

Exactly! It’s not like we didn’t know they’d try anything and everything. It’s not news these folks care about abortion and want it banned.

I think the good news is that this can’t be the first time the kerning was off like this. If it was a known problem, and initiatives in the past were past with wonky formatting, this one at this point shouldn’t be blocked. They’d have had time prior to voice this concern, I’d figure.

The only problem i see is things like parliamentarians getting to block popular legislation for no great reason.

Our systems are often bullshit. Ballot initiatives are generally great. I’d like to see much more of it. It’s so much harder for the parties to …. Profit from them. I definitely think that debating whether or not republicans or democrats are bigger crooks is a waste of time, even though I democrats appeal to me better with their “message,” they’re mostly as shitty as the Republican brass.

I’d point to the prolife judge appointed by the Biden Administration, after Roe was overturned.
