When is your book comming out :P You have a knack for writting and it seems you could make a career move in that direction. No joke. I do understand what you are saying about costs. I know that touring is expensive. I am a stagehand and I see how many trucks full of equipment, deck, lighting, road crew and local stagehands, catering and this list goes on that it takes to put on a show. Also video poduction, promotional materials and the like. If you remember the group TLC's story about how they were one of the most popular groups ever but didn't make much money after everyone else got paid. With that said I still think Amuse is making a LOT of profit from BABYMETAL. Someone recently posted the revenue earnings for 2015 and it was somewhere in the 6-8 million range and Im not sure if that included online sales. If I recall correctly.
I agree SG is holding thier own too. I just think that this group could be doing even better that they are now. The talent in SG is off the charts. I think they all have the potential to become Super Ladies but once they leave SG it's sketchy as to which ones will rise to the top. Some may even disappear all together. That seems like a missed opportunity IMO. I really think an SG TV show has the potential to be a real success if Amuse tried it. Could you imagine if this weeks guest apperance was Nene ! Ayaka could be a regular since she is already a good actress. Airi and Ayami could be regulars as well. Maybe other girls are natural actors too. It is this kind of creative thinking that could take a group like SG to the next level. The show could run for years and years with the influx of new girls comming in all the time.
Lastly, I think subtitles on videos is key to bringing in fans from outside Japan so it whould be in thier best intrest to spend the money to do it. I am a good example of this. If there were no subtitled videos I am sure I wouldn't have become as big of a fan. I wouldn't have has the connection to these girls like I do. This is just for me. Maybe other people would enjoy it just as much without them but I can't see how they would make as deep of a connection if they don't understand what is being said. For example : in this thread I have said I don't watch Lo Girls that don't have subtiltes because I just feel lost. I have tried many times but I turn it off after 5-10 minutes. Well it seems I have blathered on too long....again lol. Anyway, thanks for your input and thoughts.
