Shipping time for SPES orders? And experience with custom sized jackets?

As I've discussed with the US sales rep, I'd be a lot less annoyed if I they'd been giving me updates, especially when they say they will. I have at least 3 email from them (after I initiate contact) where they say "should be getting a shipment later this week.... Once I know for sure I shall let you know.", and then nothing for a month until I initiate contact again.

I've happened to work as a project manager getting European equipment installed in the US. I'm aware of the difficulties involved with European production and shipping to the US. I was also always aware that ghosting a customer was unacceptable. I've had very uncomfortable conversations when a whole shipping container was returned to Europe because items were on the wrong sort of pallet (happened twice to the same customer). Still, better to be up front and keep them informed than trying to hide the unhideable.

As I mentioned to the sales rep, communication during difficult situations is key to maintaining customer satisfaction.

The fact that they are still saying 6-8 weeks, when evidence is showing closer to 6 months is also an issue. That lie prevents people from making informed decisions.
