I did this about a year ago and have had sex twice since, both of which I instigated and which were unenjoyable. I thought that taking the pressure off her would help things and it did in some respects short term but it didn't change her view on sex in any way. Today I told her that if things don't change then we need to move our separate ways as I can't live like this any more. I know how bad that must sound, I haven't given the full picture here, but to have no intimacy, not anything at all, is just not something that I'm prepared to live with. The rest of the relationship has suffered immeasurably as a result of us being so distant physically.
