Rant: internet drops multiple times a day, I pay for 250gps download and yesterday I averaged 30, (pretty regular here) I live in a large major city , (for the record median home price in my zip is 1.1 million) the 8th or so tech came out today to tell me nothing is wrong , new router, (3rd) keeps disconnecting yet they tell me there’s nothing wrong again, tech actually installed a damper to make the signal more “smooth” yet all it does is slow my shit down (2nd time) . Fucking crazy. I hate giving this company money. This has been going on for around 4 years and I’m convinced there’s not a goddam competent person in the whole operation . Seriously wish there was another option besides att available here. Fuck cox . The box in the back looks like it’s from 1989 with fucking wires everywhere , yet “signal is good “ . Shits crazy . They upgraded the nodes last year but never upgraded any cabling going to houses so we’re using coax from 20 years ago. Granted coax is coax but goddam you assholes. I actually cancelled in 2021 because I was so sick of this shit only to find they’re a monopoly in my neighborhood so we had to re up, now they thank me for a year of service when I’ve had cox for at least the last 10 years. Their techs couldn’t operate a fucking toaster, and that’s if you even get a cox tech. The sub contractors that have come out were very frank and up front. Cox techs are a fucking joke as is the company. It’s time to put this dinosaur of a monopoly to bed .
