Hey, I haven't really played in a while, not since the update, and I decided to get back into this incredible game. While trying to remember the couple of mods I used to use I discovered the glory that is Ckan. (Side note:I had just installed it fresh on my laptop, but I have played it flawlessly on this laptop before, so I know it can handle it.) I did go a little overboard with the amount of mods, but I'm pretty sure I only chose mods that were highly recommended from this subreddit. The game seems to play fine in general, but there are a few issues I can't figure out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Minor issue: The buttons on the toolbar all have the same icon-less grey texture, and i have to click them to see what they do. The Alarm clock mod DOES have a little alarm clock icon, so I am wondering if the others are supposed to as well? (Also, it may be that I can't remember the order of the buttons, but i SWEAR it seems like they change position.)

Next Minor issue: This is the first time I've played since the update and new part category system in the builder building. Is there any reason that there are NO pods in the pod section? All of the standard categories have their regular stuff, except the pod section just sits empty. If I use the new option to sort by tech level, I can FIND the command pod, but I really would rather not be FORCED to sort by tech level when I like the other way better. Did a mod do this? Is there a fix?

Major issue: So I get into my game, having so much fun, doing the little science you get EVAing on the launch pad and the surrounding areas. But every time so far (twice that I've tried) when I make it to orbit/space, then land back down, I EVA again to get the data for wherever I land. When I do, my Kerbal climbs down the few ladder rungs and falls the rest of the way down. (Usually easily survived,just the length of the first landing gear on the first pod.) As soon as he hits the ground, the screen goes black. And it doesn't go back. Even if I go out to the menu, It is still pitch black except for the HUD, and I have to reboot the game (which isn't a quick process, even if I didn't loose all my progress and kill the fun of the moment.) I feel like I remember this happening occasionally, but NEVER this consistantly. It's really heartbreaking because the way it stands now, I don't want to play anymore and get invested if it's so likely it's just going to be for nothing. Does anybody know a fix for this? Is there something I should uninstall? or install? I could deal with the other issues if this would go away...
