HOW IS THIS FLIPPIN CHEATY~ It's an in game mechanic for Pete's sake! At least consider the science behind ~ the beacon ~ and why it actually makes sense [logically]. Firstly why in the world do you people think that it's natural for us to jump in close to a star!? Well, because the on-board computer targets the most MASSIVE beacon in the solar system ~ the sun! If anything, it's the Hyper Drive that is cheap and you puritans should be parading in Supercruise from star to star! Additionally, there is no reason that the on-board computer could ever target a planet or a station within a solar system. It boils down to two reason why it doesn't ~ 1) You need to make the assumption that the on-board computer is not powerful enough to do so and 2) FD preferences. Accordingly, if the computer is strong enough it can detect a [designed-for-use] beacon that is droppable by space craft! ~ And it does; this is wing-man's beacon! Secondly, and I would like to point out, the real issue is with bounty farmers and alt. client creators ~ not me! Think of this method as an alternative to that! It's more flippin profitable than any in game hack AND it's done according to the game mechanics! Do you people know how hard it was to do this!? Do you think that anyone in their right mind would do this!? Oh well, you see 9:34pm to 8:07am, and you say, "Good for him" ~ well not really! I flippin died a little bit doing this... I wake up and then someone has the gal to say that it was cheaty. This was a fucking accomplishment ~ screw you! Sorry this is not like me... Also, let me take this time aside to bring in more hate from the puritans ~ Online Trader Tools ~ What!? Is there no internet in the future!? Do you honestly think that traders in the future, part of a MASSIVE organization - the Pilot's Federation - wouldn't have records available to help their pilots!? Of course not ~ it's the absence of those records that would make less sense to me. After all, why get involved with the pilot's Federation in the first place? Why kind of idiot organization would just GIVE people 30,000cr ships (The Sidewinder) without expecting some community/communal returns). Additionally, would it not be in the interest of stations to provide said information to traders all across the Galaxy ~ including those from the Pilot's Federation ~ in order to bring in more competition and profits from traders and crews!? In fact it makes less sense that ONLY the Pilots within the Pilot's Federation are able to acquire and compile this information... it should be provided by the stations themselves... the ones who stand to gain the most from this!
