The 19 Best South Bay Restaurants

I went to Pannys once and was not impressed. Anyone want to defend why they like that place? I know someone loves it, I just don’t understand. Zam zam market is legit, but it’s such a weird ordering experience due to the lack of any kind of regular menu or posted prices.

I always think these lists pass up Leo’s Mexican food in Lawndale. It’s the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the South-bay I think, and their red and white sauce, and specifically their cheese enchiladas are hands down my favorite food. They also have the best salsa and chips as well, normally that’s and after thought but they really nail it. Sadly their burritos are there weak spot. Wet they are still ok because their sauce is amazing, but only the giant super burrito has the rice and beans you expect in a burrito and it’s so big most people balk at it. Also because of the cheese factor their food is much better eaten there than delivered or takeout, which is a big issue for people these days.
