In 2010 I photoshopped myself into a picture with my favourite band and posted it, publicly, to Facebook.

Well, I had a 32kb computer in 1990. 5.5 floppies and all, it was what my family could afford bought second hand off of a relative. It's as ridiculous as 32mb would be in 2010, which would barely get you by with an XP install.

So with the rhetorical device of "my pc was old and rocking a cracked photoshop" If I wanted to be pedantic I'd say 384MB of memory, as that was a pc you could conceivably arrive as an old junker in 2010 (and run a cracked photoshop) and 32 mb would be hyperbolicly saying that the pc was a total piece of junk.

I think you're not necessarily wrong as to what was the going hardware, however you fail to recognize how technology rolled out when you were outside of the best and newest. In 1990 it was common to have Apple II's all over the place. I think in 1992 or 3 the school I went to got 386/and 486 computers with windows 3.1 and that was AMAZING for a school.

So um, actually, you're being insulting for no reason.
