All The Good Things Keemstar did and the bad things

This is your opinion.

It's a fact. I've made statements against the people that sexually abused me when I was younger and this is the stuff the police explained to me, before I did it "officially"- It only came about because of a totally different discussion (meaning that you probably won't have it explained to you if you don't bring it up) but it's very relevant and something they were very adamant about.

I think keem gets the awareness aspect out of it and that does help the overall investigation.

Please explain how awareness helps? Actually, I'm not even going to entertain that idea- It straight up doesn't. It makes things worse, in fact. Unless we're talking about a case that's as big as say, the Jimmy Savile scandal, but we clearly aren't, so that goes out the window.

If you're "spreading awareness" about something like this, then you likely already have something that constitutes towards proof. That's it. That's all you need. You take that to the police, answer any questions and let them do their thing. Anything that you have, they can gain access to, and then some. Even if they're only able to look into or question the suspect, that's still something and is likely more than you would have gotten otherwise.

In making it public, you're telling the suspect that people are onto them and that they're going to have hundreds and thousands of people on their case. You give them time to get it straight in their head and come up with a story if they need one. You give them time to destroy any evidence there might have been on the surface. That's it. That's all you get from making it public. That's not just an issue they face in movies, it's a very real concern that can cost the police time and resources. That evidence probably isn't gone forever but it takes time to get back (and is also a bit of a legal kerfuffle, I believe.)

TL;DR: You're wrong.
