• Quran 1:5 It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

We might think we know what is good for us but we really don't. We can't overcome the difficulties in life except with the assistance and help of Allah. The difficulties are there so that we ask Allah to help us overcome them and to know that no one can really help us except Him. We need to ask Him to guide us in order to know how to deal with them in the way that pleases Him. So, ask Allah in Dua to guide you, aid you and help you in whatever difficulty you are going through. Ask Him to remove them from your life or to be able to accept them and be patient.

One of my favorite Duas is a Dua that I give Allah the power to choose for me what is good and give it to me and to decide what is evil for me and to take it away.

  O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from all evil, in this world and in the Hereafter, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your slave and Prophet has asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from the evil from which Your slave and Prophet sought refuge. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from Hell and from that which brings one closer to it, in word and deed. And I ask You to make every decree that You decree concerning me good
