Alternate ending where Lain reports her parents to CPS and she moves to America with her sister and her new gf Alice

You can say that both humans and AI are derivative, but the fact is that a human can innovate beyond what they've been taught, and an AI can only recreate and remix the images that have been directly imprinted into its training network. An AI trained entirely on Egyptian hieroglyphs couldn't render a detailed object in '3D space' with elaborate lighting and perspective, but a human raised on Egyptian hieroglyphs could learn to do so by thinking about and observing the world around them.

There was a time before paintings had depth. The very notion had to be ironed out through the genius of innovative human artists. I've yet to see any indication that AI can artistically innovate, only iterate.
