Am I the only one who feels legitimately bad for Haltmann?

Sorry to say this but I disagree with the pity because he had taken his loss way too far.

"You ungrateful native! You need to be taught your place! Savages! Savages! Savages! SAVAGES! You're all wild savages! Your insolence must be punished! Watch me activate Star Dream, the most powerful machine in existence. And you filthy natives will be... eradicated!"

I presume that the developers believe that technology isn't perfect and will never replace everything. You cannot replace feelings, great leaders, teachers, and parents with technology. Computers can't replicate emotions, perfectly simulate reality, have a personality, mentor us, embed the core values needed to succeed, be role models, etc. Instead, humans and technology must work together; technology can benefit, not replace.

Kirby: Planet Robobot has set new standards for the series in terms of its story. More plot-related events now occur here and there, not just at the beginning and near the end of the story. The imperfect clones and the soulless Susie show why technology isn't perfect. It is wonderful to see the effort that has been put into putting in these life lessons and deepening lore. We should expect to see the series soar to even greater heights in the future.

This may be unrealistic, and I don't want to get downvoted to hell, but if we get a 25th anniversary equivalent to Kirby's Dream Collection, I really wish to see Haltmann coming back and transitioning to a friend the same way Magolor did. However, I really have to admit that this would conflict with the Kirby canon as every single trace of him, including his soul, was erased.

Had the original Susie never "went missing", all these tragedies that have made Pop Star's inhabitants and Haltmann himself suffer would have not happened.
