To this day I'm still kinda mixed. I remember when facing Dedede Clone in Robobot for the first time, it did remind me of the days where I played Super Star Ultra and interpreted Dedede as the Kirby equivalent of Bowser.

But as time went on it's clear that wasn't the case. I kinda miss when Dedede was a straight up trouble maker but I can't deny that he is in a far more interesting and versatile position as a character. A jealous rival in the spin offs but ultimately a caring person in the main line games.

Then again half of the time we fight him it's because he's possessed / corrupted / being mind controlled so... not always that versatile. It's interesting to think about how he's changed and how he's been implemented main line or spin off games. But part of me wouldn't have mind if Dedede was the big bad of the Kirby games all these years later.
